These terms cover your use of foishome.com and every order placed through it. Using the site or buying from us means you accept them and they form an agreement between you and FOIS Home, a furniture workshop based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. They are written in plain language because terms you cannot understand serve no one, and where anything here overlaps our Refund & Return Policy or Privacy Policy, those pages carry the detail and these terms carry the frame.

Who We Are and What We Sell

FOIS Home makes and sells handcrafted solid wood furniture and carved decor from our own workshop in Jodhpur. Every piece is made by hand, which carries a promise and a consequence, the promise is that no one else owns your exact piece and the consequence is that natural variation in grain, carving and finish is part of the product, not a fault. Our Refund & Return Policy explains where handmade character ends and a genuine defect begins and that line applies throughout these terms.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy and the sale is confirmed when we send your order confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order before despatch, for reasons such as a pricing or listing error, suspected fraud, stock damage discovered at packing or a delivery address we cannot serve and if we cancel after you have paid, you receive a full refund promptly, no deductions, no arguing.

Please check your delivery address and phone number at checkout. Furniture freight booked to a wrong address is expensive to redirect and while we will always try to help, costs caused by incorrect details supplied at checkout may fall to you.

Custom and Made-to-Order Pieces

The workshop takes commissions, sizes adjusted, finishes changed, pieces built to your brief. For any custom work, the specification, price, timeline and payment terms are agreed in writing by email before the carver begins and that written exchange forms part of these terms for your order. Custom pieces cannot be cancelled or returned once work has begun, except where the finished piece is defective or departs from what was agreed, in which case we put it right at our cost.

Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in Indian rupees and the full amount you will pay, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, is shown at checkout before you confirm. Payments are processed by our payment gateway partners over encrypted connections and as our Privacy Policy explains, your card and banking details never touch our hands.

Occasionally a price on the site is simply wrong, a typing error, a glitch. Where the error is obvious, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full rather than honour a mistake and we will tell you plainly that this is what happened.

Delivery

We deliver within India only. No international shipping at present. Delivery timelines for handcrafted furniture depend on the piece, your location and freight schedules and the estimate for your order is given at or after checkout. Solid wood is heavy, so deliveries arrive by freight and the crew will call ahead, keep the phone number on the order reachable. Inspect your piece on arrival, and note the 48 hour damage window in our Refund & Return Policy, it is the part of that policy most worth remembering.

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

The full rules live in our Refund & Return Policy and in one line each: transit damage reported within 48 hours is entirely our problem to fix, change-of-mind returns run 7 days from delivery with return freight on you, custom pieces do not come back except for defects and refunds land within 7 to 10 business days of the returned piece passing inspection.

Your Account

An account is optional, guest checkout works. If you create one, keep your login private, keep the details on it accurate, and tell us immediately at info@foishome.com if you suspect someone else has used it. Activity under your login is your responsibility until you have flagged a problem.

Using the Site

Use foishome.com lawfully, do not interfere with how it runs, do not attempt to access other customers' information and do not scrape, copy or republish the site's content. We reserve the right to suspend access and cancel orders connected to misuse or fraud.

Our Content and Designs

Everything on this site, our product photography, our written descriptions, our brand name and logo and the designs of our pieces, belongs to FOIS Home. Do not copy, reproduce or use any of it commercially without our written permission. If you want to feature our work, in a publication, a portfolio, an interiors shoot, email us, we are usually delighted, we simply want to know.

The Limits of Our Responsibility

The site is provided as it stands and while we keep it accurate and available, we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every screen renders every timber tone exactly, wood photographed in a Jodhpur courtyard will read slightly differently on every display, which is one more reason the natural-variation rule exists. Our liability on any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where Indian law does not permit such a limit and nothing in these terms removes any right you hold under Indian consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India and any dispute arising under them falls to the courts at Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Changes

We update these terms as the business grows, the version on this page is always the current one, the date at the top tells you when it last moved and significant changes get flagged on the site rather than slipped in.
