Antique Teak Display Cabinet with Glass Doors

The crest is what dates this one. A painted ceramic tile, a hunting scene in soft ochre and green, mounted inside a shaped gallery top with turned rail detailing on either side. That style of tile inlay belongs to the late colonial workshops of western India and it's the first thing anyone notices.

Below it, two full-height glazed doors open on brass lever handles with a working lock. Behind the glass, adjustable shelving for crockery, books, curios or whatever deserves to be seen rather than stored. Two deep drawers at the base run on solid teak sides with cast brass bail pulls.

The timber has darkened the way old teak does, and the grain carries through the door frames and side panels. We've cleaned, waxed and stabilised the joinery. The marks of age are still there, they should be.
