Art Deco Teak Display Cabinet with Curved Glass

Art Deco cabinetry from the Bombay workshops of the 1930s and 40s and the details give it away, the stepped tiers rising across the top, the fluted plinth running along the base, the circular porthole window set into the tall side cupboard.

The left end curves in a full bow-front, glazed in bent glass with glass shelving inside. That curved glass is the hard part; it's why pieces like this survive in small numbers and why they're worth restoring properly.

Across the centre, sliding glass panels front two shelved display sections. Below them, a pair of round wooden knobs on a shallow drawer run. The lower cabinet opens on flush doors with more storage inside.

To the right, a full-height cupboard door with a grid-carved face and a dark circular inset.

The teak has aged to a deep red-brown. We've cleaned it, waxed it, and left the patina where it is.
